Company founder Joe Godfrey brings two decades of experience to Northgate Properties. Joe’s strong working relationships with the professionals who are vital to any development; architects, engineers, planning experts, financial institutions; are critical to his success.
OLIVER SHAW, AssocRICS | Associate Director
Olly has worked in the property industry for a number of years in London and across the home counties. Olly began his career in Chichester working for a regional estate agents then moved to Savills, where he worked for a number of years operating along the South Coast. Having worked with land owners, developers, Investment funds, local authorities and registered providers, among others, Olly has a broad range of experience and contacts within the industry.
DARREN SCHOFIELD | Senior technical manager
Darren began his career with a degree in Architectural Technology from Leeds University, creating a strong foundation in design and technical knowledge. He honed his skills in architectural practices across Leeds before relocating to the south coast, where he transitioned into project management roles within major PLC house builders. Over the years, Darren has led multi-million-pound housing developments, gaining deep expertise in planning processes and the delivery of comprehensive architectural and engineering packages.
Now part of the team at Northgate Properties, Darren has been appointed as Senior Technical Manager. He brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for creating spaces that are both functional and inspiring. His technical expertise is a key part of delivering development projects for Northgate. His move reflects a desire to pursue a career that’s not only professionally rewarding but also personally fulfilling.
Caroline Kimbell | Financial Controller
Caroline Kimbell, a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant, ran her own successful accountancy practice for 20 years before joining Northgate Properties in 2019. Her financial background and expertise provide solid financial planning and management for all Northgate projects.
MICHELLE ELGOOD | PA/ADMINISTRATOR to JOE GODFREY
Michelle Elgood has over 30 years’ experience working as an Office Manager/Administrator and PA at Board level across a wide range of businesses, including corporate hospitality, computer hardware, airline industry and property management. Her administration and organisational skills and experience ensure that Northgate Properties runs efficiently and effectively.
